It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda 'Scotty' Lee Durisek, 71, of Penticton British Columbia. Daughter of Captain Thomas Edgar Logan, and Elizabeth Lylla Logan. Scotty passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from complications following a surgical procedure in Kelowna Regional Hospital.  Scotty is survived by her three sons, Thomas of Phoenix Arizona, Stefan of Stupava Slovakia, and Niklaus of Penticton British Columbia. She also has 2 living sisters, Glenna and Vi-Ann of Ontario Canada, 6 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom are grieving the loss of Nana or Aunt Scotty.  Scotty was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on August 18, 1949. Her life dream was to be a devoted mother to her three children, and ultimately a grandmother to her grandchildren. In this, as in everything, she succeeded. She was immensely involved with her children and her local communities. She served as a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother, PTA President, Medical Society Auxiliary person, T-Ball Coach, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation member, Breast Cancer Society member (and a 30+ year cancer survivor!!!). She was also a Republican Committee Member, Rotary Club member, Bunco Club member, an active member of her local churches, and quite frankly too many other groups to list accurately. She absolutely loved her final years living at Southwood Regency Retirement Resort in Penticton and was active in many groups there as well.  Scotty found a successful career in Real Estate while living in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and spent many years helping folks buy and sell homes with Howard Hanna and Jack Gaughn Real Estate groups. She received numerous awards for agent of the year as well as a top produced year after year.  Upon her retirement in 2016, she relocated to her native country, Canada, so she could spend her later years close to her son, Niklaus; daughter-in-law Kate; and two of her grandkids Aiden and Ariana.  Scotty touched such an enormous number of lives; it is difficult to keep track. Her passing has made it so much more apparent. The outpouring of love and support following her unexpected passing has been frankly overwhelming but also, completely amazing.  It truly showed how much of an impact she had on so many people, in so many different places and backgrounds.  She knew no boundary of love and had a strong desire to help others in need.  Please no flowers or gifts. Scotty would only want you to celebrate her life and remember the good times, by listening to the song 'Old Time Rock and Roll' by Bob Seger or ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley. In memory of her, pull out your lawn flamingos, or wear something purple. Enjoy a lobster dinner, have escargot, or a slice of mushroom and sausage pizza. Heat up a cup of Earl Grey tea, or cheers with a glass of Chardonnay.  The energy of Scotty will always be with all of us who knew her. Her family is mourning but we are strong and connected. Now is the time, more than ever, to express love to those we hold dear. And especially in these hard times, if you can, please help someone in need, like she has done for so many of us.  That was Scotty's life mantra, and her family would love nothing more than for us all to continue her legacy.  A simple viewing will be held on Friday, January 8, 4-6PM PST in person or via Zoom log-in at Kettle Valley Memorial in Penticton BC on their website or Facebook page. Nik and family will be there around 4:30-5PM for the viewing and saying a few words.  There will also be a celebration of life in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Lunenburg, Vermont in the Summer 2021.  May you rest in peace Mom…Nana…Scotty.  Peace and Love to all. Amen. Condolences may be made to the family through
